Knowledge

I was just thinking about how irritated I get when I think of Satan, tapping his fingers together, curled lips, snickering at what a good job he's doing. And probably already conjuring up his next victim. I know this sounds cartoony and maybe comical, but it's so real. He's so real. And what he can do is scary.
BUT... at the same time it irritates, it makes me so grateful for the knowledge I have that Heavenly Father is even more real. He's bigger and better than Satan. And he is love. Smiling, or crying for us, loving, caring and ALWAYS reaching down his hand. GRAB IT DANG IT! And don't let go. EVER.
My heart is aching for my family who has lost one of theirs. I miss him too. But my knowledge of Heavenly Father's love and plan for us all and knowing that we'll see Danny again, keeps me strong. It makes me want to fight that evil Satan and love my kids even more, protect them even better and beat him out of spite(ok, love.) And I will win, we all will, because FAMILIES ARE FOREVER!

Park City in the fall

Our new favorite thing to do is spend the weekend in Park City for a little get away. The kids love to swim all day and I love the chair lift up to the Alpine slide. Racing down the slide is pretty fun too and this year River and Cayden felt they were old enough to ride alone! We love it! And I decided, if Tucker really wants to quit his job and become a ski bum, I'd get used to the cold, because I love it up there! Especially in the fall. These pics really don't do the amazing colors justice!
He's HOT!

I know, I know!

I finally don't have to go all the way down to the cold dungeon basement to get on my computer, so I thought I'd start blogging again. And this is way late, but I'm posting anyway because I think this was Cayden's most fun birthday party!!
After MUCH debate on what he would be doing for his birthday (he wanted to take all his friends to Boondock's. Yea right!) he decided to invite a few friends to the park and have a pinata. We drove around 6 invitations to his BOY friends and 2 BOY cousins because he a was having an only BOY party! Well, this all boy party ended up being all 8 boys PLUS each sibling of each boy, a neighbor girl, another neighbor girl AND baby brother and sister, grandma picked up from daycare to drop off. Do not ask me how this happened. I have no idea. Good thing we were just at the park across the street! It actually turned out to be pretty dang fun, but we did have to get a lot of extra pizza! And the older girls thought up a plan to thank me and Tucker for "inviting" them. They had us stand in the middle of the circle of all the kids and at the count of three yelled, "thanks Tucker and Kira!" And then soaked us with squirt guns! We all loved it! Happy late Birthday to Cayden!
